Accumulators Manufacturer

Hydraulic Accumulators

Hydraulic accumulators are essential energy storage devices used in hydraulic systems to store pressurized fluid energy and release it whenever required. They help maintain consistent system pressure, absorb shocks, reduce pulsations, and improve the overall efficiency and performance of hydraulic operations. By storing energy during low-demand periods and supplying it during peak demand, accumulators ensure smooth and reliable system functionality.

Main Types of Hydraulic Accumulators

1. Bladder Type Accumulator

The bladder type accumulator is one of the most widely used hydraulic accumulators in industrial applications. It consists of a pressure vessel with a flexible rubber bladder inside, which separates the hydraulic fluid from nitrogen gas. As hydraulic pressure increases, fluid enters the accumulator and compresses the nitrogen gas, storing energy efficiently. When system demand rises, the compressed gas pushes the stored fluid back into the hydraulic circuit, ensuring smooth and stable operation.
Bladder accumulators are known for their quick response time, compact design, and excellent efficiency, making them ideal for shock absorption, pulsation damping, and emergency energy storage applications.

2. Piston Type Accumulator

The piston type accumulator uses a free-moving piston inside a cylinder to separate hydraulic fluid and nitrogen gas. This design allows the accumulator to handle high-pressure operations and larger fluid capacities compared to other accumulator types. The piston moves smoothly within the cylinder as pressure changes, storing and releasing hydraulic energy when required.

3. Diaphragm Type Accumulator

The diaphragm type accumulator is designed with a flexible diaphragm that separates hydraulic fluid from nitrogen gas inside a compact pressure vessel. This type of accumulator is generally used in smaller hydraulic systems where quick response and compact size are important. As pressure builds, the diaphragm flexes to store hydraulic energy and releases it when needed.

4. Spring Loaded Accumulator

The spring loaded accumulator stores hydraulic energy using a mechanical spring instead of compressed gas. When hydraulic fluid enters the accumulator, it compresses the spring, which then releases the stored energy back into the system when required. This design eliminates the need for nitrogen gas charging and provides a simple, reliable operating mechanism.

5. Weight Loaded Accumulator

The weight loaded accumulator uses a heavy weight placed on top of a piston to create pressure within the hydraulic system. As hydraulic fluid enters the accumulator, the weight provides a constant force, maintaining stable system pressure. This type of accumulator delivers consistent pressure regardless of fluid volume changes, making it highly reliable for specific industrial operations.
